I am African and I owe my being to the hills and valleys, the mountains and the glades, the rivers, the deserts, the trees, the flowers, the seas and the ever-changing seasons that define the face of our native land.  Thabo Mbeki

Africa is indeed diverse in nature, tribes and cultures. But if there’s one factor that unites any race, is peace and laughter. That spirit of togetherness showcases when the need arises to (in our Nigerian parlance) ‘Yab’ each other about the state of backwardness and under-development.

It’s certain that we’re not where we want to be, but for sure we’re not where we used to be. It may take donkey years, but we’d get there someday somehow.

As always, Africans took to twitter when they were asked to create hashtags on ‘If Africa was a school.” And I found these 8 quite hilarious.
